Committee Scope & Membership

Scope

  • Scan and Assess: Monitor trends and breakthroughs in technology to determine relevance and potential impact for Texas A&M University.
  • Strategic Evaluation: Evaluate candidate technologies for alignment with the university’s strategic priorities, operational efficiency, and scalability, while also addressing potential security and risk considerations.
  • Recommendation and Guidance: Provide informed recommendations for pilot projects, strategic investments, or full-scale implementations, ensuring that technology adoptions are both innovative and sustainable.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Foster an environment that encourages discussion and knowledge transfer across academic, administrative, and technical domains, ensuring a holistic approach to technology adoption.
  • Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing: Serve as a central forum for sharing best practices, lessons learned, and emerging use cases, thereby advancing the collective understanding and effective application of new technologies across campus.
