Dan Schmiedt

Dan Schmiedt serves as Associate Vice President of Research and Education Network for Texas A&M University. He previously served as Executive Director of Network Services and Telecommunications for Clemson University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business.

Dan has been involved in higher education IT since 1994, when he was a student worker in Clemson's computer labs. He has since served as Director of Network Services and Chief Network Engineer for Clemson and has extensive experience working with researchers.

As Associate Vice President, Dan provides leadership, oversight and direction for the technical teams that design, install and support enterprise IT Infrastructure services including wired and wireless networks and telecommunications.
