Adam is the Associate Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Texas A&M University. He holds a B.A. in history and music from Texas A&M University, and a Masters in computer science from Texas A&M University. He also teaches as an adjunct professor in the College of Engineering. Adam has over 25 years of experience in information technology and security in multiple roles, from leading software development at the university libraries, to IT director at the School of Architecture, to managing IT risk and compliance for the university.
The office of the CISO is responsible to protect and secure the university's digital assets and information resources, and includes activities that span a variety of disciplines, including cyberdefense; security operations and forensics; identity and access management; data and research security; and risk, governance, and compliance.
