NetID Authentication Integration
Overview
Texas A&M applications and services should integrate NetID authentication when possible. This service supports various authentication technologies, including LDAP, Active Directory, CAS, Shibboleth, and Microsoft Entra ID.

Request
To request an integration with NetID authentication, email identity@tamu.edu with the following:
- Your name, position, and office
- A technical contact (your unit IT staff or vendor contact)
- Supported technologies (CAS, SAML, OIDC)
- Any access restrictions (e.g., students only)
Service Details
Available authentication technologies include:
- LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
- Active Directory (on-premise)
- CAS & Shibboleth (for CAS or SAML protocols)
- Microsoft Entra ID (for OIDC & SAML protocols)

Guidelines
All applications should default to using centralized NetID authentication when feasible to support security and identity management best practices.
