Copilot Chat (Basic) is a browser-based AI tool that helps users generate content, summarize information, and more. Available at no cost to Texas A&M students and employees, it provides a secure environment for AI-powered productivity.

Getting Started
Sign in to Copilot Chat using your NetID and password. Look for the "Protected" badge to confirm enterprise data protection is active. For best results, use the Microsoft Edge browser.
Copilot Chat is available at no additional cost to Texas A&M community members with a Microsoft A5 license, including TAMU, TAMU‑Galveston, and Texas A&M Health.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is available to university employees as a paid add-on license. Purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot License through the Software Center.
Service Details
Copilot Chat is an AI chat tool that helps answer questions, brainstorm ideas, and generate written content.When using Copilot Chat:
- Your data stays within Texas A&M’s Microsoft environment
- Chat data is not saved or used to train AI models
- Responses are protected by enterprise security controls
License upgrade:
Microsoft 365 Copilot is available to university employees as a paid add‑on license.
The M365 Copilot license adds Copilot within Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, providing help with emails, documents, meetings, and files. Purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot through the Software Center.
Guidelines
- Always log in with your Texas A&M NetID to activate security features.
- Do not use restricted data.
- Validate AI-generated content for accuracy.
- Use only approved university storage for sensitive data.
