Export Controlled Data
Export controlled data refers to information or technology that is regulated by U.S. laws like the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), because of national security or trade protection reasons. IRB Controlled Data
Research data involving human subjects that requires institutional review board oversight. Special protocols must be followed to protect participant privacy and ensure ethical research practices.
Gov ID Numbers
Government-issued identification numbers such as SSNs, driver's license numbers, or passport numbers. These unique identifiers can be used for identity theft or fraud if compromised.
Personal Health Records
Health information not otherwise covered by HIPAA, including HR records and mental health data. This could include employee wellness program data, occupational health records, or personal health information shared outside of traditional healthcare settings.
Financial Records
Financial information or records, including bank account numbers, debit or credit card numbers, and tax documents.
Sensitive Personal Information
Sensitive Personal Information as legally defined by Texas state law. This includes data elements that, when combined with personal identifiers, could personally identify an individual.
