Google NotebookLM is an advanced AI tool designed to enhance academic research and productivity. With NotebookLM, you can upload various document types and links and interact with them in a conversational manner, allowing students, faculty and researchers to analyze and deepen their understanding of any topic.

Getting Started

Sign in at notebooklm.google.com with your @tamu.edu email address and password. 

Request

To use Google NotebookLM, you must be a Texas A&M student, faculty, staff, or retiree with an activated Texas A&M Google account. To learn how to request an account, visit the Claiming a Texas A&M University Gmail Account page in the Knowledge Base.

Service Details

NotebookLM is best for deeply understanding your documents, organizing projects or topics, combining and questioning information within your files, and generating summaries, briefing documents, timelines, FAQ's, and study guides from your uploaded sources.

Texas A&M campus members can access NotebookLM with data protection when logged in with their NetID and password. This more secure version ensures that university data shared with Google NotebookLM will not be used to train or improve any generative AI models.

Features

NotebookLM has the following limits:

  • Notebook limit: Up to 100 notebooks
  • Source limit: Up to 50 sources per notebook
  • Chat query limit: Up to 50 per day
  • Audio generation limit: Up to 3 per day
  • Uses documents as its input
