For EveryoneTexas A&M provides access to these AI tools at no cost to students, faculty, and staff. Texas A&M has purchased or licensed access to these tools on behalf of the university community. No purchase needed — just log in with your NetID and password.
Tools include: TAMU AI Chat, Microsoft Copilot Chat, Google Gemini Chat, Google Gemini Notebook

Availability VariesEnhanced AI tools that offer more advanced capabilities and deeper integrations with the software you already use. Most Premium tools are available for purchase by faculty and staff only. Perplexity Enterprise Pro is available to all campus members.

Before choosing an AI tool, it’s important to consider the type of data you will use. Learn more about data classification and restrictions
| Your Data Type | What To Use |
|---|---|
| Public Data | Any AI tool works — university-licensed tools are always recommended |
| University-Internal and FERPA data | You must use a licensed university tool. Log in with your NetID and password. |
| All other Confidential data | Check your tool. Some university AI tools are approved and others are not. |
| Critical data | No AI tools are approved for use with critical data at this time. Contact ai-security@tamu.edu to discuss options if you need to use AI with Critical data. |
