Filex File Distribution System

Overview

The Filex file distribution system provides a secure way to transfer files, including files too large to send as an email. Files are retained for seven days before automatic deletion.

Getting Started

Log in to Filex at Filex.tamu.edu. You must have a Texas A&M NetID to access Filex.

Service Details

Features

• Upload and securely transfer large files
• Send download links via recipient email addresses
• Encrypt sensitive or confidential files
• Passcode access for external users 
• Two-factor TAMU NetID authentication for internal users

Guidelines

Filex is not a long-term storage solution

• Files will remain available on the system for 7 days by default, with the option to extend availability up to 30 days for one time only.
• After 7 days, files are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.
