Overview
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) provides IP addresses to computers across campus and allows centralized management of network host assignments, reducing administrative overhead.

Getting Started
Initial DHCP setup must be coordinated with Technology Services. Email infoblox@tamu.edu to begin.
Service Details
DHCP supports distributed IP management with centralized oversight through Infoblox. Technology Services recommends using the university’s DHCP system to ensure consistency and security.

Guidelines
- DHCP setup must be approved by Technology Services
- Logs must be kept for 30 days for auditing and compliance
