Shared Forwarding Address
Overview
A Shared Forwarding Address is a @tamu.edu email address assigned to a campus role, position, or organization that automatically forwards messages to another inbox. It ensures consistent communication, especially during employee transitions or organizational changes, and appears in the campus directory unless requested otherwise. Only full-time employees can request a Shared Forwarding Address.

Request
A Shared Forwarding Email address can only be requested by faculty and staff employees. Request a Shared Forwarding Address using the IT Service Portal.
Service Details
Shared Forwarding Addresses are useful for departments, roles, or positions to maintain consistent communication. They automatically redirect incoming mail to a designated account and can be updated as staff roles change.
