Emergency P25 Radio Communications (BVWACS)
Overview
The Brazos Valley Wide Area Communications System (BVWACS) is an interoperable radio system using Project 25 (P25) standards for federal, state, and local public safety communication. Texas A&M University's Police and Emergency Medical Services use this system to ensure regional interoperability, especially during large-scale emergencies.

Getting Started
The P25 system is proprietary and requires compatible, authorized radios. Texas A&M partners with Texas Communications for purchasing and programming P25 radios.
Contact Kris Kram at kkram@texascom.com or 979-255-8010 for pricing and availability. Once the radios have been received and programmed, Texas Communications will direct you to fill out the Service Request Form and schedule a pickup time for the equipment.

Service Details
BVWACS is integrated with the Harris County Regional Radio System (TXWARN), creating a 17-county regional network. The system allows interoperability for public safety across regions from Galveston to the Brazos Valley and beyond.
