Distributed Antenna System
Overview
The Distributed Antenna System (DAS) expands mobile coverage and maintains quality of service for campus cell phone users. Instead of large cell towers, DAS uses microcell antennas mounted on or in a building to provide better coverage and added capacity in areas of high cell usage.

AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless have signed agreements with Texas A&M to use DAS to improve customer cell phone coverage.
