Overview

Texas A&M operates a Motorola MotoTRBO 800-MHz trunked radio system available to all university departments. The system supports handheld, mobile, and base station radios with excellent coverage across campus and much of Brazos County.

Getting Started

All radios must be compatible with the proprietary 800-MHz system. There is a monthly airtime charge per month per radio for using the system.

Radios must be purchased from Texas Communications. Pease contact Kris Kram at kkram@texascom.com or 979-255-8010 for pricing and availability. Once the radios have been received and programmed, Texas Communications will direct you to fill out the Service Request Form and schedule a pickup time for the equipment.

Email tcom-request@tamu.edu with additional questions.
