Data Privacy Week 2026 runs from January 26–30, an international effort to help everyone understand their power to manage and protect their personal information. 

This year highlights that while data is constantly collected by apps, websites, devices, and services, you still have the right to make informed choices about what you share and with whom.

During Data Privacy Week, Technology Services encourages all students to take a moment to review their data, accounts, and passwords to stay protected.

Every day, your devices, even wearable devices, collect information about your location, contacts, activity, and preferences, creating a detailed picture of your habits and behaviors. 

A quick privacy checkup helps you limit unnecessary tracking and keep sensitive information out of the hands of people or companies you don't want to have it.
