Technology Services UAVS Staff Earn Industry-Recognized Certification

Nick Munoz and Pete Luna recognized for expertise supporting classroom technology

Two Technology Services employees who support audiovisual systems across campus have earned a globally recognized credential highlighting their expertise in classroom technology.

Nick Munoz and Pete Luna, members of University Audio Visual Services (UAVS) within Technology Services, have achieved the AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification. The CTS credential is an industry standard that validates advanced knowledge and skills in designing, implementing, and supporting audiovisual (AV) systems.

Awarded by AVIXA, the CTS certification reflects a strong commitment to professional development and technical excellence. It confirms proficiency in creating reliable, high-quality AV environments that support instruction in classrooms and learning spaces.

Through their roles in UAVS, Munoz and Luna are responsible for supporting the AV systems, within the Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in  Kingsville,  that faculty and students rely on every day. Their expertise helps ensure consistent, seamless technology experiences that enhance teaching and learning.
