Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
Overview
Technology Services maintains a virtual desktop environment infrastruture (VDI) to serve the College of Dentistry in providing access to axiUm and MiPACS.
The virtual environment is broken down into dedicated pools of resources for use in specific clinics throughout Dentistry.
This resource can also be used by Dentistry students who need to securely access axiUm (sometimes called axiUm remote access) from a personal device while off-campus.
Prerequisites & Connecting to VDI Environment
You need a NetID, Duo, and Texas A&M VPN configured prior to VDI access.

VDI Access
- Launch Cisco Secure Client on your personal device and connect to Texas A&M VPN using your NetID (formatted as NetID@tamu.edu)
- NOTE: You will need to confirm a Duo push on your personal device (usually a cell phone)
- Open the following link in a new browser tab: Horizon HTML Access (DENT-VIEW)
- Log in with your NetID (formatted as NetID@tamu.edu)
- Select the most applicable resource
